What? It is the capitalism that will eat democracy? Yanis Varoufakis’ TED speech inspired a chat between Richard and me

Richard Nelson found Yanis Varoufakis’ TED speech today and passed it to me. After I watched and listened, a good chat spins out of this between Richard and me.

As for the “Twin Peaks” Yanis mentioned in his speech, it can also be expressed as a huge pile of capitals of finding no where to spend, at the expense of a huge lack of capitals by the majority who need them the most – envision a full sine wave of up and down.

We talked about the problems with US election, US constitution, power elite, one party vs two parties, etc.

Enjoy!

P.S. Sorry for the slowness of video images. OBS Studio that I used slowed down the video part in order to make sure the audio track is smooth and complete. I needed to reboot my computer before the recording 🙁 Next time I make sure I do that!
